On December 19, 2024, Riverview Health Centre reached an important milestone by earning safety program certification through the Manitoba Association for Safety in Healthcare (MASH). This achievement highlights their dedication to workplace health and safety.
“Becoming safety certified through MASH provided Riverview Health Centre with expert guidance and support to enhance the safety of our team,” shared Kathleen Klaasen, Chief Executive Officer at Riverview Health Centre. “Thank you, MASH.”
Tonya Nelson, Director of Safety Programs at MASH, praised Riverview’s commitment: “Riverview was dedicated to achieving certification, demonstrating a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all their staff. This certification is a testament to their ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.”
The certification process involved implementing enhanced safety measures, providing comprehensive training, and undergoing a detailed safety audit. Beyond improving safety, this initiative also advanced workplace efficiencies and demonstrated Riverview’s leadership in quality and care initiatives.
