Safety and Health Advisor

Position Overview:

This full-time position is responsible for providing expert safety and health knowledge, advice, training, and support to healthcare organizations for the Manitoba Association for Safety in Healthcare Inc. (MASH). This includes development and delivery of strategies to improve service levels and improving efficiencies throughout Manitoba’s public healthcare system.

The Safety and Health Advisor is responsible for the establishment and evaluation of the goals and objectives for services that align with the elements and sub elements of the Manitoba healthcare safety management system. This position is responsible for ensuring all program initiatives, including existing and new safety and health training programs, comply with all MASH policies, corporate identity, and all related legislation.

This Safety and Health Advisor is responsible to support Manitoba healthcare employers in the implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement in safety management system practices. A key expectation of this position is to build and nurture relationships with the health care industry.

This position has safety associates as direct reports. This position reports to the director of safety programs and participates as an active member of the MASH team.

Health & Safety Associate
