
On December 1, 2025, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, a personal care home in West St. Paul, achieved its SAFE Work certification, marking a significant milestone in workplace safety. This certification reflects the organization’s commitment to fostering a safe environment for both staff and residents.
“We are pleased to have collaborated with MASH to become SAFE Work certified. This achievement is the result of the dedication and commitment of the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg team, supported by the guidance from MASH,” said Sandy Peers, Director of Health Services at Middlechurch Home.
Tracey Ford, the Supervisor of Environmental Services. “This initiative has enabled and empowered our employees to cultivate a culture of ownership and accountability in creating and maintaining a safe work environment for themselves and their colleagues.”
The certification process included the implementation of new safety measures, enhanced training, and a comprehensive safety audit. It also provided an opportunity to improve workplace efficiencies and demonstrate leadership in quality initiatives.
As safety leaders, Middlechurch Home is dedicated to modelling best practices in creating a safe and caring work environment.
