Concordia Hospital & Concordia Place Achieve Safety Certification by MASH

We are thrilled to announce that as of January 9, 2025, Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place have successfully completed the process to earn safety program certification through the Manitoba Association for Safety in Healthcare (MASH). This achievement also includes meeting Manitoba’s provincial standards for SAFE Work certification through an independent evaluation of their safety and health program. Congratulations to the entire team at Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place for developing and implementing a safety and health program that meets these high standards!

“Achieving certification is a proactive step to create a safer workplace at Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place,” said Tonya Nelson, Director of Safety Programs at MASH. “It demonstrates a strong commitment to preventing incidents and ensuring the safety of all workers.”

 

The certification process included implementing enhanced safety measures, providing comprehensive staff training, and completing an in-depth safety audit. Beyond improving safety, this initiative also fostered greater workplace efficiencies and reinforced leadership in quality and care.

 

As safety leaders in Manitoba’s healthcare community, Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place are setting an example by prioritizing the health and well-being of their teams. Their dedication to creating a safe and caring work environment is an inspiration to us all.
