We are thrilled to announce that Salem Home has officially passed the MASH (Manitoba Association for Safety in Healthcare) audit earning an impressive overall score of 86%. This certification reflects the dedication and hard work of every team member at Salem Home, from housekeeping and healthcare aides to administration and maintenance.
The MASH certification process is a comprehensive evaluation that assesses safety practices in healthcare environments across Manitoba. The audit covers several critical areas, including safety communication, hazard identification, emergency preparedness, staff training, and inspection programs. Achieving MASH certification means that Salem Home has successfully demonstrated a strong commitment to safety - ensuring that their residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors are in an environment where safety is integrated into all aspects of daily operations.
Successfully passing the audit showcases that safety isn't just a priority for them—it's a core value that’s reflected in everything they do. This achievement is not only a win for their team but also for the entire community they serve.
As Karin Oliveira, CEO of Salem Home, shared, “We are incredibly proud of our entire team for their dedication and hard work in helping us achieve this important certification. This milestone reflects our continuous commitment to providing a workplace where the well-being of our employees is paramount. We look forward to building upon this foundation and continuing to enhance our safety culture for years to come.”
MASH extends our sincere gratitude to all the staff for their invaluable contributions to this achievement. Let’s keep making safety a top priority for everyone.
